My neighbor, who moved in 2 weeks before us, has yet to mow her grass. To be fair, there was a power issue with her irrigation system before she moved in that caused most of the new sod to die. She was obviously upset about that. However, instead of doing something about it (a la adding water to grass), she protested the "shoddy" sod installation and ceased all watering of the grass. She apparently complained enough that the landscaper has agreed to re-sod her entire yard. Wow.
I didn't fight in Vietnam, but I've seen movies. I honestly think that if I brought a Vietnam vet to my house, he would have flashbacks after looking at the dreadful excuse for a yard next door. "Charlie" is in those weeds somewhere, I just know it! It is just terrible. I mowed Saturday and surveyed my awesomeness only to be sickened by the Laotian jungle next door. It had been a month; I was fed up; I called the HOA.
Apparently, because she is getting her yard replaced - in 3 weeks - the HOA is not approaching her about the state of her yard (aka jungle). I felt it necessary to explain that I did not feel that my quarterly due payment was being well utilized. I was informed it was just too bad. I agree HOA; I agree entirely. It is too bad. You guys are afraid of this lady and you'd rather not anger her further. Well that's fine, I suppose. I hope you guys enjoy the letter that's being delivered this week too. Looking very forward to your reply.
